Evan Steinhorst, LCPC, NCC

Evan Steinhorst, LCPC, NCC, is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He also obtained a BA in Psychology and BA in Sociology from the University of Denver in 2012. Evan's clinical training involved working with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. He is also experienced practicing individual, group, and play-based therapy. Additionally, Evan brings with him a background in applied behavioral analysis; wherein, he provided behavioral therapy to adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorder as a Registered Behavior Technician.

As a former clinical intern of Complete Wellness, Evan is excited to return as a licensed clinician. Valuing the importance of evidence-based practice, Evan grounds his approach in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. He works collaboratively with clients to promote their behavioral, emotional, spiritual, mental, and social wellbeing. Evan is an advocate of the LGBTQ+ community and ally for racial/social justice and body positivity.

Evan is a Certified Trauma Professional and member of both the American Counseling Association as well as its following divisions: Association for Adult Development and Aging; Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling, Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development, and Counselors for Social Justice.
