Evan Elkin, LGPC, NCC
Evan Elkin, LGPC, NCC, is a mental health professional whose mission is to help others heal and achieve mental wellness that’s grounded in values, culture, meaning, mindfulness and evidence-based practice. While change and suffering are inevitable in life, Evan believes that every person is capable and deserving of personal freedom to live a meaningful life.
Evan graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. While there, he interned at Complete Wellness where he worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, addiction, LGBTQ+ issues, and other mental health and life challenges. Through this experience, he developed his approach to counseling which is rooted in an eclectic approach combining Existential and Cognitive Behavioral therapies, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness. He has helped others with setting goals for themselves, getting in touch with their own values, and developing self-compassion and empowerment through collaboration, helping to set a path for healing and wellness for his clients.
Before attending JHU, Evan graduated from Elon University with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Computer Science, after which he worked as a software developer. Evan’s interests include music, art, reading, film, nature, rock climbing, philosophy and games.
